DEVON - PLANNING SOLICITOR

A strong and effective commercial team are looking to recruit an experienced Planning Solicitor to join their team. The successful applicant will play a role in servicing existing client base and spearheading further growth.

The successful applicant will come from a background in either private practice or a local authority with connections/a following and have substantial experience in a range of planning work including: planning appeals, certificates of lawfulness appeals, enforcement proceedings and site licensing appeals. Some experience in Licensing would be an advantage. The firm also deals with some planning applications for Parks and in house referrals e.g. agricultural ties as well as Section 106 agreements.

The firm is seeking to firm up connections with local authorities and their committees and to act on outsourced work for those authorities. Therefore, key to this role is the ability to communicate well, to promote our business to local authorities and be involved in the submission of tenders to those and other referrers. The successful applicant will have a sound academic background with strengths in, and enthusiasm for, business development.
