LAWYER, ENVIRONMENTAL - BRISTOL
This large regional firm, Legal 100, seek to recruit an experienced Environmental Lawyer for their expanding department. Developers, housebuilders and landowners turn to our Client for guidance through the intricacies of the planning system. Regeneration projects are a key part of the practice, as are development matters for housebuilders, commercial developers and local authorities. The team is involved in a broad spectrum of work covering both contentious and non-contentious planning and environment issues, in particular they have considerable experience in:
Planning applications and appeals;
Planning and highways agreements;
Advocacy at planning enquiries;
Enforcement proceedings;
Special statutory procedures and judicial review;
Compulsory purchase;
Environmental impact assessment and environmental statements;
Environmental permit applications and appeals;
Defending environmental prosecutions;
Negotiating environmental warranties and indemnities, audits and due diligence.
The ideal candidate will have a broad environmental background and will be technically excellent but equally important, commercially aware and enthusiastic about business development. They will be a team player and comfortable in supervising the more junior members of the team with a strong client focused approach. They will also have a strong academic background and excellent communication and organisational skills.
