COMMERCIAL CONTRACTS PSL - LONDON

Our client is recruiting a senior professional support lawyer to work on a wide range of outsourcing arrangements, supply contracts, intellectual property licensing arrangements, services agreements and other commercial matters, as well as advising on matters relating to e-commerce and data protection.

The principal areas of responsibility will be:

- monitoring developments in law and practice relevant to the team's work, including contract law, licensing, outsourcing and procurement regulation, e-commerce and data protection

- communicating and responding to those developments, including through internal and client training, production of client bulletins and changes to precedent documents

- developing and maintaining internal know-how resources, including SFPs

- responding to queries in a timely and efficient manner

- taking a pro-active role in business development, including the identification of potential opportunities, maintenance of regular contact with key clients, and assistance with pitch documentation and meetings, especially in the legal content of those documents (e.g. identifying legal issues and putting forward solutions to issues)

- interacting with the general corporate PSL team, the IP/pharma PSL and assisting with some general corporate law matters

- participating in global practice groups covering outsourcing, communications, data protection, technology and payment systems

- liaising with other members of the firm's know-how community to identify and act upon areas of common interest, to provide input to relevant projects, and to disseminate information to team members.
